the setting in the book i’m reading is at school. the schools name is mcClenton middle school. also the environment for maleeka is rough for her because everybody makes fun of her skin color of how dark/black she is compared to everybody else and she is poor, young, smart, gloomy, upset girl in middle school. this is different from how i live and how my days are at school because i’m usually happy not upset or gloomy and not poor also these are alike on how i live and how my days are at school because i’m smart at school just like her.

maleeka influences are

Imagine waking up for school and wearing your favorite outfit for school, but the next day you have to go to another school and you have to wear uniforms. So you have to wear uniforms for the whole school year

 

For some students it’s not a problem to wear uniforms because they don’t have to wear uniforms to school so the students have no experience with wearing uniforms no one at Blackhawk middle school probably experienced wearing uniforms. Also no other FWCS has to wear uniforms except lakeside and Northwood middle school.

 

Kids at lakeside middle school like tressa,khloe,brennen goes to lakeside and they have to wear uniforms, but they do have dress down days which you can wear your own close and not the uniforms. There are a lot of debates about uniforms and wants the benefits about wearing uniforms and the negatives about wearing uniforms. Like wearing uniforms will decrease bullying for students, but the negative about wearing uniforms is that everybody wants to be there self so wearing uniforms wouldn’t make them there self’s and there’ll be dressed the same as everybody else.

 

Blackhawk middle school students opinion about this argument is that students should not wear uniforms because if you do wear uniforms your parents spent money on cloths for no reason. also if you wear uniforms you will not be different from the people around you and some people want to be there self’s and not like other people. But a positive about wearing uniforms is that less people get bullied at school I think that’s the only positive about wearing uniforms. And I think other people/students will agree with people at Blackhawk middle school shouldn’t wear uniforms at all. Tressa doesn’t like lakeside because they have to wear uniforms but she likes it when they have dress down days and get to wear her own clothes, tressa thinks it’s stupid how lakeside is the only FWCS school that has to wear uniforms. Also her mom spent a lot of money on clothes that she can’t wear at school.

 

Students at Blackhawk middle school thinks it’s a good idea to have students not wear uniforms all around the school unless it’s a religion thing that you have to wear a certain thing. Also the students think they should have the freedom to wear whatever they want unless it’s against the dress code. Another reason students don’t like wearing uniforms is because they don’t want to wear the same thing every day and you’ll just wake up to the same outfit you would wear every single day.

 

Some Kids all around the world think students  shouldn’t have to wear uniforms. All it does is make school a dull and lifeless place that no one wants to be in. Students should be able to express their feelings and emotions by wearing regular clothes. I’m a kid myself, and actually, I couldn’t care less about them.

Dear Mr.Hoering

The book I read was the skin I’m in and it was written by Sharon G. flake it was about this girl getting bullied about her skin color on how dark she is. The character I liked was the girl getting bullied. They ignored the other kids and it made me feel like she was out going and didn’t care what other people think about her. This book is unlike the bible because the bible is about holy people that showed people and told people that there is a god and god is watching over you and to be good so you can go to heaven. One thing I noticed about myself as a reader is that I don’t like reading books, I am surprised by me reading a book. Also I met my goal I had set for myself. I think I made my goal because I read a whole book.

the last last book I have read was in the 7th grade and it was a book we had to read but I forgot the books name but I read it in Mr. Murphy’s class and everybody was reading the book. the book I’m reading right now is the skin I’m in and its bout a girl getting racial comments about how dark she is.

Mrs. Oaks came to Blackhawk her first year in 2017-2018 school year, but one day she came to mr.Hoering class and started talking about how Blackhawk is going to have uniforms and the students was not happy. So the students in mr.Hoering 6th period class was writing why they don’t like the idea about uniforms. mrHoering told the class after the period ended he told the class it wasn’t real. Also at the end of the day on announcements the students got an announcement that the uniforms coming soon is false.
